Abstract: This book describes some basic knowledge of the Huaihe River Basin related to water environment carrying capacity , theories and application of research results. It consists of three parts:
(1) The basic situation of Huaihe River and the water environment problems, including the Huaihe River Basin profile, changes in water quality analysis, and research progress of the water environment, water function zoning and environmental capacity;
(2) Huaihe overall carrying capacity of water environment theory, method and application of the results, including the overall carrying capacity of water environment concept the calculation model, the calculation process of overall carrying capacity of Huaihe River Water Environment , and the preferred solution to improving the overall carrying capacity of the water environment.
(3) The integrated approaches enhancing the Huaihe River water environment carrying capacity include the rational development of the Huaihe River Basin model, ecological measures, measures for flood resources and soil and water conservation measures. This book presents the theory and calculation methods of overall carrying capacity of water environment, and the measures improving the Huaihe River water environment carrying capacity to solve the problems of other basin water resources protection at home and abroad .They all have important reference value.
